Caring for your safety

Your landlord and property manager care about your safety, and have engaged Smoke Alarm Integrity to ensure that you have the required number of smoke alarms in their correct positions, that they are working, not past their expiry date and meet all regulations.  In many States, it is law that the smoke alarms are checked and tested at every tenancy renewal or changeover.

When we receive an instruction to service the smoke alarms in your property, prior to us attending we will provide you written notice and send you an SMS reminder message the day before  our attendance.

Your property manager may make keys available for us to access your property, but if you prefer you are welcome to make a confirmed appointment with us should you wish to be home when we attend.  Our technician will leave a Thank You card for you confirming the date and time of attendance.  He will also apply an Inspection sticker to the base of the alarm confirming that the alarms have been serviced, checked and passed our quality control.

Our technicians are direct employees of Smoke Alarm Integrity (not contractors) and have undergone a National Police Check.  They will be fully uniformed and will arrive in a sign written SAI vehicle.  They will treat you and your home with courtesy and respect.

In some cases, we are asked to also check the electrical safety switch to ensure that it is fully functional.  When we test the safety switch, this causes a short interruption to the power supply, and some household appliances may need to be re-set, such as digital clocks and computers.

If you have any concerns about a forthcoming attendance, or you wish to provide us with specific instructions (such as don’t let the dog out!); or if you have cultural or religious requirements, please don’t hesitate to contact us to let us know.  If you are a shift worker and daytime hours do not suit your sleeping requirements, please contact us and we will arrange a time that suits you.

If you have been notified about an attendance and wish to change the date and/or time, please contact us by email service@smokealarmintegrity.com.au or by phone on 1300 974 615.
